F5Organize scenarios

Drag any scenario (built-in or published) into the category where it belongs. The change is live in the gallery immediately. Hover a built-in and click × to hide it for all users; hidden built-ins collect in their own column with a Restore button.

F5How to use Flowscape

Everything an F5 builder needs. From first drag to sharing with a customer.
Build
Drag, drop, arrange
Drag any component from the left palette onto the canvas. ZONE items. Data Center, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, OT/Plant. Are containers: drop components inside and they move with the zone (drag the zone's corner handle to resize). Double-click any node or zone to rename it. Hover a node and click × (or select it and press Delete) to remove it.
Connect
Draw traffic paths
Both ● ports connect: drag from the right ● to choose where this node's traffic goes (downstream), or from the left ● to choose where its traffic comes from (upstream). Drop anywhere on the other node either way — the hit area around each port is bigger than the dot, so aim loosely. To remove a connection, click it. An × appears at its midpoint (Delete works too).
Traffic
Play. And watch what gets blocked
Press Play traffic and packets flow from every entry node. Blue is legitimate traffic; red attacks die at the XC WAF, Advanced WAF, or APM; magenta prompt injection passes WAFs and dies only at AI Guardrails; orange AI Red Team probes are mostly caught. The ones that reach the model count as findings. The counters top-left tally delivered, blocked, and findings.
Load balancing
A/A, A/S, and failover
Nodes marked LB (BIG-IP, BIG-IP DNS, XC LB, NGINX, AI Gateway) carry a pill above them: A/A round-robins across every downstream path; click it to switch to A/S where one path is active and the rest go dashed standby. In A/S, the ⚡ button fails over live. Mid-animation is the best time.
Clone & save
Make any scenario yours
Load a scenario, tweak it for your customer, then Save drawing. It lands in "My drawings" in the scenario menu, private to you. Saving with the same title updates it in place. Build from a blank canvas the same way.
Share
Read-only links for customers
Share copies a link to a read-only, animated view of the current canvas. No sign-in needed to watch, and the layout can't be edited. Links are revocable server-side, so a link that shouldn't circulate can be shut off.
Admin
Publish, people, and numbers
Admins additionally get Publish scenario (puts the current canvas + narration in the public gallery. Including promoting a builder's drawing), Users (grant or remove admin for @f5.com users; pinned admins are set in server config), and Stats (which scenarios visitors watch most, share activity, visit counts).
Tips
Small things that help
Dark mode: the sun/moon toggle; signed-in users' choice is remembered. On a phone, the palette lives behind the Components button. The legend (top right) collapses when clicked. The version chip under the Flowscape name tells you exactly which build you're on.

F5Flowscape framework

The living reference for the Flowscape diagram framework — generated from this build itself, so it always matches what you're running.

F5Content library

Every published scenario and every user's drawings. With view counts and last-viewed so stale content is easy to spot. Promote any drawing to publish it for all visitors.

F5Integrations

Connect the services Flowscape uses. Settings are stored encrypted in the app’s database and take effect on every replica right away — no environment variables, no redeploy.
